Assignments:
I follow the
parent/teacher handbook. All students
are to have their homework in on time.
If they don’t have their homework, they will receive a green slip and a
10% deduction. They will receive a green
slip everyday until I get the assignment.
The grade on the second day goes to a 60%. I do understand that unforeseen circumstances
arise and the assignment just couldn’t get completed. If this is the case, I need a note from the
parent stating what the circumstance was, and I need the note the day the
assignment was to be finished.
The handbook states:
Snacks are an important source of nutrition for growing children. The teachers have decided it would be beneficial for the students to start bringing a small snack to school to eat. Some children and adults feel hungry between meals. Snacks can provide the needed energy required by our bodies. If snacks are healthy food choices, the child will be adding substantially to his/her daily nutritional requirements for nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Children need to be able to refuel throughout the day to maintain energy and focus on academics, and that's where snacking comes in. It's crucial these snacks be health-conscious. Children may also need to fill in certain nutrient gaps left by meals. Healthy snacks also boost energy, while sugary treats and other junk food can lead to a quick crash and overeating at the next meal.
Snacks should be in small snack size container or zip lock bag size. Please send in a dry snack such as crackers, granola bar, dried fruit, etc. Apple slices, grapes, carrots, and bananas are good choices.
Birthday Treats:
Pre-packaged treats are acceptable. If a napkin is needed with the treat please provide that as well.
